This article discusses the concept of singular existence in Al-Kindi's philosophy as an effort to reconstruct classical metaphysical thought. Al-Kindi, as the first Muslim philosopher to systematically integrate Greek philosophy into the Islamic tradition, emphasizes the importance of understanding al-wāḥid (The One) as the primary principle of existence. This research aims to explore how this idea not only serves as the foundation of Al-Kindi’s metaphysics but also significantly contributes to the development of Islamic philosophy in later periods. Through textual analysis of Al-Kindi's main works, this article reveals that the concept of singular existence serves as the foundation for epistemology and ontology, bridging the relationship between God as the Creator and the created world. This study also demonstrates how Al-Kindi harmonized Greek philosophical thought, particularly that of Aristotle and Neoplatonism, with the Islamic doctrine of tawhid. The findings provide a new perspective on the relevance of Al-Kindi's thought in the context of contemporary philosophy, particularly concerning the dialogue between religion and philosophy.
